Where the painters applaud the sunset

Anglada-Camarasa once told the Argentine poet Adán Diehl of a place where the mountains meet the sea, and every evening, as the sun goes down, the painters put down their brushes to applaud. He meant the Bay of Pollença. This is the story of who came to that bay, from how far, and how long they stayed — the long tide of arrivals that turned a fishing village into an artists' colony.
